Its Been A While

Isaiah and us - we've been very busy. Can you believe we're getting married this Saturday?

Isaiah's been learning to mimick what we're saying. He's been trying to say things like grandma which in turn comes out as ma-ma. Grandpa is pa-pa. Tasha is Ta-da (in a low, deep tone). We can't seem to figure this out. The deep tone is only associated with Tasha. He still does it.

Isaiah keeps turning off the "mooovie" and comes running to look for me to tell me that something is wrong with the "moooovie." He's running to me again to let me know that the "mooovie" is broken and I need to fix it. He thinks he's smarter than me.

Here's some recent pictures of Isaiah. He's so grown! I honestly believe he's the cutest and funniest thing ever!

From Isaiah

So last night, it was weird. Something was just missing?! I saw my mom throw clothes into a box of some sort and then the next thing i know she drove out of the garage??? That was weird!!! I have never seen her leave like that. Then at night, she never came back. My dad told me that she was going to some far far away place and that it was me and daddy time now till Monday night. WOW, thats a long time. So dad tried to put me to bed at my normal time, but i just had this missing feeling inside of me... I miss my mommy. I finally fell asleep.

This morning, i awoke to find just my daddy, and then i remembered, mommy is gone till monday :( I miss you mommy.

Mother's Day

So, Mother's Day was awesome.  Josh was a playing a loving husband who just let his wife do nothing!  I did absolutely nothing.  I think I maybe changed Isaiah's diaper a few times since Saturday.  I wish it was Mother's Day weekend every weekend...I forgot what sleeping in felt like until Saturday morning.  I told Josh that next year for Mother's Day I would just love to do nothing and relax.  I think Sunday was pretty hectic because we were in and out of the house all day...so next year we're aiming to do just nothing.  I want to sit in front of our t.v., eat a bunch of lard, roll over, etc.  Just nothing.  I like that.

I took Isaiah outside today and this what he did:

First Time For....Anything

Isaiah has been a little uncomfortable for about a week now.  I couldn't figure it out.  It starts with his night terrors, then his constant ear infections.  We almost were ready to have tubes put in his ear but ENT doctor said that we could wait a little longer since most babies grow out of ear infections.  So, for his constant ear infections we've had to give him medications and lots of different kinds.  Last medication was some kind of antibiotic.  For a week now he's been doing this puppy drag with this tush.  Its the funniest and cutest thing ever to watch!  I can't help but just watch him freak out and drag his butt across the floor!  LOL  Anyway, he's been having this rash and it just wouldn't go away.  I finally took him in to been seen and turns out that the antibiotic that he was on caused him to have a yeast infection!  This would be his first yeast infection!  Can you believe that a child that young could have adult diseases?!  My jaw dropped a little when I was in the doc's office because I just couldn't believe that someone so super young could have a yeast infection.  Mr. Doctor said that it was normal and common since he was recently on antibiotics.  We're watching Shrek right now.  Isaiah just loves it!

Also, we finally put our home up for sale!  Yay for us!  We'll see how it goes.  I hope its worth all the cleaning and work we put into this.  Its so tiring trying to keep a home clean with a nutty child like ours!  Funny thing yesterday - My co-worker and I went to see another co-worker that just had her child on Thursday morning.  He was only 5lbs 13oz so he was super small.  Anyway, I brought Isaiah along and you know what he did?  He smacked that 5lb child!  Not once, but twice.  Thank goodness there was no cry but his face was bright cherry red!  Isaiah is definitely made of slugs and mud.

Well, this is Isaiah after the visit to the doctor again today!  Oh, and there's another noggin on his forhead from falling on some cement.  Its right above his eyebrow.

Narrated by Isaiah..typed by daddy

So today was very interesting... Dad picked me up at 2pm... i dont know why, because normally he comes at 430???  He drove extremely fast...then he turned off the free way thinking it would be quicker, lol.  He was wrong.   I think we were behind every slow moving car and hit every red light.  We ended up going to a ENT place.  All i know is that they gave me a wooden train engine and then i pooped my diaper.  Dad ignored it for awhile, while i played on the wooden tracks.  Then some girl came over to play on the tracks, so i took her cars so that she could not play on the tracks.  Then i got scolded by dad.  I guess he was watching after all.  Then he changed my diaper..i almost squirmed out of the diaper changing station..almost.  So then a lady called my name and we went into a sound proof room.  She tried to put this thing on me, but you know i wasnt having that.  So i just squirmed out of daddy's lap everytime he tried to put me there.  I dont like padded rooms.  So then they finally gave up.  Next another guy came and looked into my ears with a light thing.  He said i am ok and we left!!!
Whoo hoo...then dad took me around our house.  I was scared to run in the grass..but eventually i liked it.  We sat in the sun for awhile.  Then dad started throwing this ball at me, so i decided to try and catch it.  Guess what??? I caught it!!!  IT was really cool.  Hopefully he does this with me tomorrow... See you guys later!

What A Long Weekend

Hi all,

Its Elle.  Isaiah and us had a very long weekend.  Our weekend started on Thursday night when we left for Minneapolis.  We got to my mom's house around 1030pm and when we got there Isaiah just wanted to stay up.  What a cracker.  We started Friday morning really early - Isaiah is our morning rooster :)  He loves to make sure we're up and ready.  This is every morning that he does this to us.  We start with meeting at a bakery all the way in Woodbury (we literally had to charter a flight out there from my mom's place) and made some changes, did some cake tasting, added some things, agreed on a design and wrote a check.  Next, we head over to Midway Party Rental where we did some adjustments to our previous order and wrote another check.  Josh and I contemplate and bicker when and where we should eat because our hair appointments are next at 1pm.  We get there and I start first because my sister will be picking me up for Tommy's "Bring a Special Person to school Day."  My sister is stuck in traffic and we're 10-15 minutes late already.  When she picks me up she's waiting at a stop light and the light turns green but she doesn't drive because she's waiting for me to come to the car.  All the while, there are cars behind her honking their horns.  She moves up to the next corner but stops again because I hop in the car and there's cars again honking at us.  I'm laughing inside because she thinks she's the only car on the road!  LOL.  She runs a red light and the cars that were honking at us are all stuck back at that red light.  Again, I laugh inside because my sister is on the phone.  Haha.

Anyway, we get some more things done.  Meet back at my mom's place so that we can leave again to celebrate an early Mother's Day since I was in town.  We get back home and we're all tired.  We put Isaiah down to bed and a couple of hours later the little nugget starts wailing and will not go back to bed.  We give him some jell-o and he's cool.  We try to get back to sleeping and I smell something funny so I try to change Isaiah's diaper but its dry.  It was just a really foul smelling fart.  Darnit - because he woke from this and would not go back to bed.  I'm tired, Josh is tired and there's no sleep for us.  I'm awake from being awake all night.  We have a long Saturday.  I'm not going to go into Saturday and Sunday because I'm tired of writing this blog so its going to end here.  I would like to say Isaiah is giving me very little hope that there will ever be sleep for me and that he deserves a brother or sister.  Right now, he will have to enjoy himself and his stuff animals...

Sixteen Months

Chuck E. Cheese

Since our last post, we've done some more cleaning and organizing.  Its a lot of work - thats all I'm going to say about that.  Today is Isaiah's sixteen months.  I can't believe he's grown so much.  I've been told to cherish these moments because they go by really fast.  I have to agree - Gone are the nursing days and hello to straws.  Anyway, Josh and I decided that we should do something fun for Isaiah and thought that Chuck E. Cheese would be a neat idea.  It was raining out so it was perfect.  We met up with some family friends around 4 today and by the time we got there it was like a scene from Kindergarten with Arnold Swartzanegger (I'm sure I spelled his name wrong).  There were kids everywhere!  Isaiah was the youngest in our group but he enjoyed watching the other kids play.  He'd just run around and pretend he was playing.  I wondered what he was thinking doing that.  He had so much to eat too!  He got to eat all the sweets and spicy food he wanted because today was his day.  The spicy food didn't go so well.  Isaiah had his first buffalo wing today - Josh thought it would be fine.  Isaiah didn't like that wing so much after one bite - He finished his whole bottle of juice we brought for him.  I wondered what Isaiah was thinking then...I wondered what Josh was thinking too that made him think Isaiah would be able to take that.  Craziness.

Update from Josh

for the record, i would lower the percentage down to around 60% for the "stuff" i keep. And those Shiek's mugs were collectors items...i think :P

This weekend

Its Elle again.

This weekend was long but went by fast.  This weekend consisted of lots of cleaning.  Josh and I are getting ready to put our townhome up for sale.  We figured with the market now that we can purchase a larger place (in case we decide to give Isaiah a sibling).  Anyway, we probably should've took a before and after.  I have to tell you that Josh is a major pack rat - His cleaning method is to keep 97% of "stuff" and just store it in other places (so pretty much its moving things around).  My method is if "stuff" hasn't been touched for 2 months then it belongs in the trash.  Now, I'm not a trash throwing queen - I know there are things that should be kept like momentos and pictures of Isaiah from his first day of walking, smiling, etc.  These "stuff" that I'm referring to are Josh's collection of cologne from college and funky looking mugs that take up space in our kitchen (Josh kept these fat mugs from Shiek's and mugs from former employments that he didn't have very nice things to say about) - those just went into the trash.

Besides cleaning, Isaiah had a very eventful weekend running around in areas that opened up for him.  We'd move things around and he'd run into that open space with glee.  I really mean glee.  He would do this little tap dance in one area in circles.  Oh, and we took him to the basketball court yesterday after lunch where Josh has his usual game and Isaiah just loves it.  He wants so badly to be involved but the only involvement he gets is me running after him and keeping him away from the players.  He doesn't like it so he throws himself on the ground alot.  I'm sure the guys there think I'm pyscho running after a child and constantly saying "No, Isaiah.  No!  No, Isaiah.  Isaiah, No."  I also dropped him on his head yesterday while keeping him away from the players.  It didn't sound so well against the court.

Our little man loves to conversate now and loves to get into things.  He recently learned to climb up our neighbors ladder.  It was yesterday that it happened again.  We were all at Bed, Bath, and Beyond and we kind of lost each other.  I ran around (looking down) calling out Isaiah's name.  He didn't make a sound until I heard his voice.  I didn't hear it from below but from above.  I looked up and there was my little Isaiah all the way up on the company's step ladder.  He must've been up 15-20 feet.  I swear, he scares the crap out of me sometimes.  He was just yelling "blienbeoine veligenonweamou abeomovea!"  I think it translated to "Mom, I'm up here!  Stop calling out my name.  You're embarrassing me."

Also, I made some really mean chicken alfredo for lunch yesterday!  I came home today and was ravenous for leftover chicken alfredo.  I quickly made pasta to go with the chicken and threw everything on a large plate.  Josh asked if I was preggers and I told him I would let him know if I was preggers.

This is a picture of Isaiah playing basketball in his corner.

PIECE OF SNICKER

This is Elle.

I reported to Josh what I have done today (with making this blog and joining the infamous Face Book).  I have to pat myself on the back.  Josh knows I dont have the patience for these things.  I willed myself to put this blog together and navigate through Face Book.

Anyway, what I wanted to make clear to all our families and friends who will be enjoying this as much as us - I noticed that Isaiah said some things he shouldn't have.  He referred to his mother (me) as a P.O.S. (I know what everyone is thinking but I'm sure thats not what he meant).  P.O.S. to Isaiah means PIECE OF SNICKER.

I'm up waiting for Josh.  And, I've been contemplating if doing sit-ups is going to be beneficial.

This is new

Hello Everyone,

This is my first day doing this so bear with me.  Depending on the day I will be the blogger and some days it might be Isaiah.  Today - its Isaiah.

You want to know what my mom is doing while I'm standing next her shouting "You P.O.S.  I'm hungry.  And, no, I don't want that rice and chicken crap.  I dont want string cheese either.  Oh, and those yogo bites aren't doing it either thats why they're all over the floor.  I want something but I dont know what I want."  Anyway, my mom is starting this blog because she believes this will be a great way to keep everyone up to date with what I'm doing and going through.  I forgot to remind you that I wasn't calm - I was screaming and spitting out my chicken and rice.  I'm trying really hard to work my mom's nerves and it seems to work against me.  I just stepped on my rice and chicken that I spit all over the floor.  She better clean it up soon - I just tracked it into the living area.  *smile*
